Community Good Works & Scholarship Dinner-8-15-17

The Salisbury Rotary Club hosted its 2nd annual Scholarships & Good Works Reception Dinner on 8/15 at GEER Village. Lakeville Journal Publisher and former SRC member, Janet Manko, presented the 2017 Bob Estabrook Internship checks, sponsored by the Rotary Club, Ashlee Baldwin & Mari Cullerton. SRC initiated the program in 2014 to recognize long-time and committed SRC member, Bob Estabrook, who served also as Publisher of the Journal. $10,000 in scholarships were presented to ten local graduating Seniors by the club's Scholarships Committee Chair, Ann Beizer. Checks totaling an additional $10,000 were presented to eight local not-for-profit orgs by John Hedbavny, Chair of the Charitable Gifts Committee. Club President, Fran Chapell, presided over the festivities.
