June 9th Lunch Meeting

Former Rotary Youth Exchange Student, Mark "Max" Zuffo, was our speaker this past Tuesday. Max is from Brazil and returned to the NW Corner to visit SRC member Laura Flores who was his host family in 1994 -1995. He spoke of his experiences as a high school exchange student here and in Massachusetts 20 years ago, the culture shock and adjustments he had to make and, more importantly, the positive and lasting impact the year and experience has had on his life. With a recent Masters degree from Harvard, he now serves as a District Attorney in Brazil. Mark is shown below with his wife and eleven month old son, club president John Hedbavny, and Laura Flores (left).
