New Salisbury Rotary Club member, Toli Fliakos, introduced himself to members present by giving his “autobiography” in the form of a fairy tale.  Born in what is now Tanzania, his early education was in Greece and then in England, with a dream to attend Yale based on seeing a building similar to Yale’s Sterling Library.  While a student in England, he was notified by the school he attended in Greece, that a partner school in the US was offering a full scholarship to one of it students and they selected Toli.  That school was Hotchkiss in Lakeville.  He attended, went to Yale ,and then on to successes in real estate, film and other career endeavors.  Stressing his belief that, if you want something bad enough and work towards achieving it, the universe works to give it to you, if you are open to making changes in your life.  Toli says he joined Rotary because he is a “people person” and wants to help effect beneficial changes as Rotary does.
