Rotary Meeting 1-31-17

Thank you to SRC Past President, Laura Flores, for bringing Deborah Van Steenbergen as our January 31 luncheon speaker to share her inspiring "Quilts That Care" story with us.  Since she initiated QTC in 2012, the not-for-profit org has created 1400 quilts, made by 60 volunteers, to provide comfort & hope to individuals throughout CT who are undergoing cancer treatment.  QTC accomplishes this with 95% of the materials donated. Club member Laura is a QTC volunteer and produces one hand-crafted quilt per month!  FMI re this inspiring program: www.quiltsthatcare.org
