Exciting and interesting Club Business Meeting Scheduled for May 2nd!
Yes, our monthly club business meeting will be exciting and interesting!
It's not often that the words exciting and interesting are used to describe our monthly, first Tuesday of the month business meeting, but this month is different! In addition to our monthly business meeting we have a special presentation! We will have a world and nationally ranked Rubik's " speed cuber" provide a live demonstration to our Club and the best part is he is a local, lifelong Salisbury resident and HVRHS student!
Connor Reid is a 17 year old HVRHS senior from Lakeville. He began speed cubing as a freshman. He has attended many competitions around the Northeast and last summer competed in the 2016 US Nationals in Portland, OR. He competes in traditional 3x3 Rubik’s Cube,2x2, 3x3 one handed, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and several other non-cube puzzles such a pyraminx, megaminx and skewb. His favorites are the higher cubes. He is nationally ranked #39 in 7x7 and #42 in 6x6. He also has a world ranking of #250 in 6x6 and #255 in 7x7.
Connor will bring several of his cubes and perform live for our Club. I have been told he can solve a traditional 3x3 Rubik's cube in LESS than 10 seconds!!!
