Several dozen came together at Geer Village on 4/3 for another combined dinner meeting of the Salisbury Rotary and Canaan Exchange Clubs. Exchange Club President Terry Dougherty chaired the gathering; Kevin O’Connell gave an update on the jointly-sponsored, fundraising auction, the annual Kentucky Derby Social (May 5) to raise money for local scholarships. Rotarian John Hedbavny introduced student volunteers (Kristine Gutierrez & Greg Winkelstern) of the Hugh O’Brian Youth Organization—HOBY—and its VP, Drew Granucci. Each explained how the organization functions to inspire and develop a global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation.
